Tesla reports Optimus production has begun in Fremont

Tesla says it has begun producing Optimus on its Fremont manufacturing lines. Its Q3 2026 update describes the units as production-quality robots and says further changes to the hardware and manufacturing process are still planned.

The manufacturing table places California in early ramp and Texas under construction. It provides no numerical annual capacity for either Optimus location. Those entries describe factory progress, not a count of delivered customer robots.

For buyers, the distinction matters: this update does not announce a retail order page or purchase price. Our listing therefore retains its announced status and unknown price.
